Psychological Forced Retirement

These days one needs to develop a better understanding the various forces at work both in our own lives, as well as what new legislation that have a very real effects on our enterprises.

Below in italics is an email I have received from Google regarding such upcoming changes:

Dear Stephen,

The Senate Judiciary Committee recently voted to move forward a bill that would have unintended consequences for businesses like yours that use digital tools to reach customers. A similar proposal has already made its way through the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, so the threat is real.

If passed, these bills could disrupt many of the digital tools you rely on every day – including Google Ads and Analytics, Gmail and Docs, and your business listing on Google Search and Maps. These changes could make it harder for customers to find your business, hurt your productivity, and cost your business time and money.

If you’re interested in learning more about these bills, their impact on your business, and what you can do about it, we invite you to sign up to stay informed.

Often technology itself doesn't allow the artist or author to present information in the manner in which he wanted top present it.

As someone who spent a few years working on a school newspaper staff: as both a photographer (Santa Monica College 1981-1983) as well as a photographer and editorial writer at Sequia Junior High School, I learned that captions should be short and start at the left edge of the photo (not centered).

The technological changes in the website world effect what we need to focus on in website development. Staying current under such in such a rapidly changing medium is essential.
